INDIAN VOTERS HAS RESOLVED TO SUPPORT MOHD.NAJIB TUN RAZAK IN 13TH GENERAL ELECTION

In year 2007-2008, the Indian community felt hurt by many alleged irresponsible and untimely moves by the BN government. Even though the Indian community are divided on many issues, but they pulled together to exibit their anger towards the BN government when an Hindu temple in Selangor state was demolished by the state government authorities .

The demolition of the Hindu temple sparked anger among the Indians, which let to the birth of an anti government movement throughout the country, irrespective of their political affiliations.

Najib Tun Razak, then as a Deputy Prime Minister , condemned the Selangor state government’s move to demolish the temple prior to the Deepavali celebration. He also rendered an apology on behalf of the Federal Government.

The Indian community were moved by Najib Tun Razak’s apology. But his statement of apology came a little late because by then the opposition parties (DAP & PKR) has already exploited this situation to fan hatred among the Indians. The CD , made specially featuring the demolition of the Hindu Temple reached every Indian home, even in remote areas. The opposition party ask the Indian community, regardless of their political affliations, to vote against BN in 2008 General Election to show their anger and frustration. Many Indian took the heed of the opposition's appeal and voted against BN without any hesitation. The opposition strategy and manoeuvre to provoke the Indian voters against BN worked very well. The opposition succeded in garnering the Indian votes in huge numbers.

This was sentiment prevailed among Indians in year 2007-2008. But perceptions of Indian community regards to BN government has changed tremendously ever since Mohd.Najib Tun Razak took over the leadership of BN and government and introduced an inclusive, caring vision and mission for Malaysia-1Malaysia Plan.

Presently, Najib Tun Razak has taken great pain and efforts to settle many issues among the Indians. Najib Tun Razak goverment is also working tediously on Government & Economic Tranformation Plan (GTP & ETP). The GTP & ETP plan is designed to ensure government institutions provide an excellence service to people and make Malaysian economy as a high-income economy by 2020.

At the same time, Najib Tun Razak, also exibit his genuine and sincerity in attending to the grievances of the rakyat. In this regards, Najib Tun Razak leave no stone unturned to make sure that the grievances and complaints of the Indian community are attended swiftly and effectively.

Najib Tun Razak has undertaken a lot of initiatives and programs to further the progress of Indian community. He is constantly engaging himself with all groups of people from all walks of life . He conduct walk-about programs all over Malaysia to keep in touch with grassroot people. He read the pulse of the rakyat and lend his ears to their opinions and suggestions and attend to them without fail. Thus far, no group among the Indian community is left behind from engaging with Najib Tun Razak!.

Now, the Indian community strongly believe and convinced that ONLY the BN government under the leadership of Najib Tun Razak could provide a better future for them and their future generations.

The opposition pact (PKR,DAP & PAS) find no real issue among the Indian community to harp on to turn their sentiments against BN. There is no religious issue to exploit as a rallying point to turn Indian voters against BN. The opposition party is expected to exploit racial sentiment to woo support for them in the near future. The recent Sarawak State election is the testimony to these forth coming trend.

The DAP is also seen working with some politically frustrated individuals and groups using NGO as pretext to meet their political agenda. Eventhough the Interlok issue has already been settled amicably by the government, the opposition party leaders, particularly some DAP leaders of Indian origin are raising the Interlok Novel issue to rally the Indian community to go against BN.

So, the opposition pact is getting panic and alarmed to learn that the Najib Tun Razak has made inroads in Indians mind and heart. There is no major issue available for opposition parties to use as a bait for them to allure the Indian voters to support them as they did in year 2008.

The opposition parties who garnered considerable amount support from the Indian voters in year 2008 failed to deliver what they promised to them. Even, Mr.Uthayakumar, the former HINDRAF leader who was detained under ISA , earned a wrath from Prof. Dr. Ramasamy, the DY.CM II of Penang DAP, for alleging DAP failed the Penang Indians.

With this background, Indians who want to see a better and bright future for Indians will believe the opposition party anymore, particularly the DAP government of Penang. Many Indian and Malay voters who supported the DAP and PAS in year 2008 General Election has resolved not to support the Opposition Pact (PKR, DAP & PAS) in the 13th general election, who failed desperately to honour their promises, once beaten twice shy.

Rakyat have realized that the opposition parties are more interested in gaining political power to put their leaders in Putrajaya and to become Chief Ministers and Menteri Besars but not to serve the rakyat.
