THE RIFT BETWEEN PAS AND OTHER COALITION MEMBERS IS IRREPARABLE

The religious scholars from the Islamist Party PAS all over Malaysia  who gathered in Kulai, Johor Bahru  today has clearly  voiced   their opinion  against  the ‘Kajang Move’,  initiated by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the opposition leader,  to   take over the Menteri Besar’s post of  Selangor government, replacing Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim. The ulamas  has admitted that the move to replace Khalid Ibrahim , who has not committed  any offence , but has given an  good governance,  has created a crack in the opposition front. With this, the senior and experienced Islamic scholars or   ulamas  from PAS opined that their break up with the opposition front, particularly DAP,  is imminent in the near future. They called the top leadership  to  review  their  cooperation pact   or  thaluf siyasi  with the other  partners,  particularly the  DAP, the non -Islamic  party which is against  PAS  initiating a motion   in parliament to legislate  Hudud law   in Malaysia.   Many  political  observers  claim that the  rift between PAS and the other opposition party members in the  front is   irreparable.
